This is the 2nd of a series of lessons about Area of Study 2 – Popular Music of the 20th and 21st centuries. This is to help pupils prepare for the AQA GCSE Music ‘Understanding Music’ component. This lesson covers the the typical structure of musicals, song types used in Musical Theatre and pupils will undertake a performance of 'Somewhere' from West Side Story. Please note we cannot provide sheet music for 'Somewhere' so you will need to source this yourself. You may also wish to source recordings of the pieces used in this lesson if YouTube is not allowed in your school.

This resource is available in Standard and Super Eco Black and White.
